Why You Should Consider Taking Green Chiretta Supplements

Green chiretta or “King of Bitter” is an herb cultivated in Southeast Asia for the treatment of various infections and diseases. It is popularly used in Ayurveda, alternative forms of medicine and one of the oldest healing systems that focus on the healing of the mind, spirit and body. Not everyone believes in this holistic treatment but taking green chiretta supplements have been tested and proven to help relieve symptoms of some diseases such as follows:

Upper Respiratory Tract Infections

This herb has been proven to relieve the symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections and shorten the duration of a cough. Due to this, Thailand’s health minister ordered administering this herb to patients infected with the Covid-19 virus in December 2020 to see if it will help in curbing the symptoms of the virus. The trials showed that patients infected and administered the herb improved within three days of treatment without any side effects, provided they received the herb within 72 hours of being infected.

Tonsillitis

This supplement could also be taken as a substitute for Tylenol for curing tonsillitis and other symptoms of a sore throat such as fever because of its anti-inflammatory properties. Taking 6 grams of it daily for 3 to 7 days treatment reduces all symptoms. Although effective, 20% of patients who took the supplement for curing tonsillitis reported some side effects, but very minimal.

Multiple Sclerosis

Another health condition that green chiretta aid in treating is multiple sclerosis. A study was conducted where patients with multiple sclerosis took andrographis paniculate, another name for this herb, twice daily for 12 months. The result is a significant decrease in the severity of fatigue that multiple sclerosis patients experience upon diagnosis of the disease.

Ulcerative Colitis

Taking extract of this herb for 8 weeks also helped in reducing the symptoms of ulcerative colitis or inflammatory bowel disease although this is only effective for those mild to moderate cases.

Arthritis

With this condition, further studies are still being done and conducted because the supplement does not seem to significantly reduce the pain the patients are feeling. However, there is still a positive effect the supplement does on arthritic patients. The supplement still showed possibility in curing the condition because it reduced the number of swollen joints and the intensity of pain felt by rheumatoid arthritis patients.

Boosting immunity

This herb is known for its immunity boosting properties. This has been proven for those with the common cold who experienced the disease less severely than those who are not taking the supplement. It also prevented healthy people from getting infected with the viral infectious disease.

If you are thinking about how safe taking this herb is as a supplement, similar to other things, moderation is key. It is likely safe if taken orally but for a short-term period only, possibly not exceeding 3 months. There could also be side effects such as diarrhea, fatigue, headache, runny nose, allergic reaction, etc. Make sure to ask your doctor first before taking the supplement.
